The first public look
EuroShop, held in Düsseldorf, is the world's largest retail trade fair. In February 2020 it was where Retellect showed its picklist solution publicly for the first time — running quietly on the Partner Tech booth, almost as a side note next to their self-checkout hardware.
A working demo, not a pitch
There was no separate stand, no banner, no booth theatre. Visitors who stopped by Partner Tech could try the lane themselves — place an item on the scale and see the AI label it on screen in well under a second. The feedback came from people who had spent a career on the checkout side of retail, which was exactly the audience worth listening to early.
The starting point
EuroShop 2020 turned a research project into something retailers could touch. The conversations from those few days shaped the first production deployment that followed later in the year.
